We’re home! We got into Pearson at 1:30 am on Sunday morning and spent the day catching up with family and friends. Bryan was back at work today - we really squeezed in every moment of travel time we could. Today I unpacked my small backpack, the one I would carry around everywhere we went. Here’s what was inside:
- one pair of socks
- underwear
- one bottle of Advil Muscle and Joint Pain Relief - Extra Strength
- toothbrush and toothpaste from the Shinjuku Prince Hotel in Tokyo
- the 2012 season schedule for the Yokohama Baystars
- a business card for a travel agent in India named Saji
- my Roots travel bag with all of our flight information in it
- a headlamp flashlight
- a mini bottle of mosquito spray
- some napkins from Starbucks
- prayer beads from India
- a necklace, bracelet, anklet and earrings from India
- my ipod
- directions to the Brothers Bungalow in Bali
- a headband from Tokyo
- good luck candies from a Hindu priest
- sleeping mask and earplugs
- a Taj Mahal snow globe keychain
- sunglasses
- two different maps of the Tokyo subway system
That really does sum it all up, doesn’t it? It was a trip of a lifetime and an experience unlike any other. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thanks everyone for keeping up with us through the blog and for all the support while we were on the road. It was a lot of fun putting together posts and being able to keep everyone up to date on all the crazy stuff we were seeing and it’ll be a great photo diary to look back on.
Now we’re back to real life. On Friday, Bryan turns 30 and we officially become adults. Maybe we should do a blog on that…
